Meet the Owner 

 

Hello, I’m Laurie and I own Hachie Hounds & Co.
For as long as I can remember, dogs have been a part of my life. I’ve been a devoted dog owner and lover my entire life, and in 2010 I turned that passion into my profession.

 

My journey began with boarding and training, very soon after expanding into grooming and rescue, allowing me to serve dogs in every stage of their lives. The reason I chose this path runs much deeper than a career. During one of the most difficult seasons of my life, my own dog showed me a level of love, loyalty, and unwavering devotion that changed me forever. The comfort and dedication I experienced inspired me to change the course of my life and dedicate it to the animals who give us so much of themselves.

Today, my mission is simple: to provide every dog with the same kindness, patience, and respect they so freely give to us. I believe grooming should be a gentle, positive experience where each dog feels safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. That vision is what inspired me to bring Hachie Hounds & Co. to the Waxahachie community.

Our boutique salon was created to offer something truly different: exceptional craftsmanship, uncompromising quality, gentle handling, and heartfelt connections with every dog who walks through our doors. We hold ourselves to the highest standards because we believe every pet deserves nothing less than extraordinary care.

For me, this has never been just about grooming dogs. It’s about honoring the incredible bond we share with them and giving back to the animals that have given so much to my own life.
